#OOTD: British Problems

Even for Britain, the weather for "summer" has been, what can only be described as, unpredictably rubbish! We have literately been getting four seasons in one day. I suppose some people could say that we're lucky. Those people are the ones who have never seen snow and doesn't understand the struggle of trying to make a puffer jacket look good. It cannot be done.
So on my weekend away, I had to dress for all seasons just to be prepared. I used to be a Brownie so I can do that shizz.

A Welsh Weekend

You know when your brain just doesn't settle and keeps running over the same things and creates new problems over and over again? It feels like the busy crossings at York Place. Mums can have this sort of super power to make everything feel okay. No matter how old you get, or how many times you say, "I'm an adult now!" You always need your mum. So I decided to pack my rucksack and take a weekend to Wales to see her and Grandad.

Monochrome and Macrons.

Along the cobble street, just off Lothian Road, is Mademoiselles Macrons. A little, cute, French inspired cafe. It has just celebrated it's first birthday in business. The owner, "Mademoiselle", told me her story of selling her yummy macrons on markets and ten months later, her cafe opened.

Of course, it was a great opportunity to have a good laugh with some of my favourite blogger girls and of course, showcase my new jumpsuit.

Little Budgets: A Week Later

It's been a little over a week since I announced that I was going to do that 10 Pound A Week Challenge. You can read about it here. It was a challenge for me to stop spending my hard earned wages and remind myself the value of the Great British Pound.
I was so buzzing to start it. I wrote the list, I took my tenner out of my purse. I was ready.

How did it go I hear you ask?

The Importance of Self Worth

Recently I have been thinking about standards. Through life we have been set standards by teachers, friends and more by ourselves. We set standards on how we must be. We want to be seen as a certain way by others but if we don't feel like we live up to these, we feel like a failure.

Time To Get Naked

Ooh cheeky! Yes, I have treated myself-with a voucher, I'm still doing the £10 challenge- to Urban Decay's Naked Palette. I have been eyeing them up ever since the Urban Decay MUA, showed us some products at the Blogger's Brunch  and with help from another lovely make up artist, called Billie, my choice was confirmed.

Eating Edinburgh: The Merkat Bar

In the West End of Edinburgh is The Merkat Bar. They have recently updated their menu and a few of the Edinburgh Bloggers were invited to have a little taster of their new dishes.

Now let me be clear, this is not your average "pub grub". Ladies and Gentlemen, prepare your taste buds.

Little budgets

It's time to start saving those pennies and I have a plan.
